In the third quarter of 2025, the Romanian market for carpooling and ridesharing apps on Android saw varied performance across the top contenders. Here’s a closer look at the trends for the leading apps, based on Sensor Tower data.

Bolt: Request a Ride showed a robust increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 30.8K by the end of July. Despite the fluctuations, weekly active users remained strong, with numbers starting around 1.4M and closing the quarter at about 1.4M as well.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady growth in downloads, reaching a high of 16.4K in the week of September 22. The active user base saw a slight dip mid-quarter but rebounded to over 606K towards the end.

Blue experienced consistent weekly downloads, with a peak of nearly 3K in August. Active users saw an upward trend, increasing from 17K to over 14K by the end of September.
